Florida Surgery Consultants Telemedicine

Telemedicine

At Florida Surgery Consultants we understand that patients that are suffering from back pain or any pain are tired of searching through WebMD or SpineUniverse to check why they have certain symptoms and what they can do. Patients need to find answers as soon as possible. This is why we have invested in a Telemedicine platform for patients to get access to a doctor quickly. A doctor who can answer questions that someone may have and also go over imaging with patients. Telemedicine is now available.

How Telemedicine Works

There are two ways that patients can connect to our Telemedicine app. With their smartphone or their computer that has a webcam. Here are the steps.

    1. Schedule a Telemedicine Appointment with our Scheduling staff.
      1. Call (888) 411-6824
      2. Or email us Scheduling@FloridaSurgeryConsultants.com
    2. Get an appointment time
      1. Demographics will be asked and taken down
    3. One of our scheduling staff will give you an appointment time
      1. Email will be sent to you
      2. An email with instructions will be sent to you
        1. If accessing through a smartphone, you will have to download the Zoom App
        2. If accessing through a computer, you will have to download the Zoom Program
    4. Waiting Room
      1. Patients should arrive into the waiting room 10 minutes before their appointment time
      2. The Doctor will not see patients that are late
    5. Telemedicine Visit
      1. Once the appointment time comes, patients will be connected with the doctor
      2. The Doctor will be able to load up imaging to discuss what is going on
Questions may be asked and treatment options can be discussed
    6. End of Visit
      1. Once the Telemedicine Appointment is over, treatment options may be discussed and an in-person visit may be needed to schedule an appointment
      2. If an office visit is not needed, other treatment options may be prescribed
